Secretariat
The ACE secretariat is based in Brussels, Belgium. Its role is:
- To manage the operations of the organisation
- To run common projects
- To support and serve its members
- To align its members on common positions, sector goals and commitments
- To represent its members towards other stakeholders and the media
- To build, maintain, and provide expert knowledge on the environmental credentials of beverage cartons
The secretariat has a staff of three:
Katarina Molin
Katarina Molin is Director General of ACE, the Alliance for Beverage Cartons and the Environment, since September 2011. She leads major technical and industry projects as well as outreach initiatives aimed at benchmarking and profiling the environmental credentials of the beverage carton. She is also the main spokesperson for the industry before the EU institutions, stakeholders and the media.
Before joining ACE, Katarina Molin worked as Environmental Strategy Manager for Hewlett Packard, and as Policy Adviser and Communications Manager for the Association for the Sustainable Use and Recovery of Resources in Europe (Assurre). Prior to this, she worked on environmental issues in the European Parliament and in the European Environmental Bureau.
Katarina a Swedish national, holds a Master of Arts with Distinction in European Integration and Co-operation from the University of Hull (UK), and Bachelor of International Science with a focus on International Politics from the University of Växjö (Sweden).
Tanya Borel de Bitche

Tanya Borel de Bitche, an Australian national, manages the ACE office in Brussels and is assistant to the Director General for administrative affairs.
Before joining ACE, Tanya worked in both the operations and publications departments of the International Crisis Group headquarters in Brussels. She travelled internationally as a representative of the biotech company Enzybel, as well as organising and managing events and seminars for businesses in both Belgium and France.
Tanya holds a degree in Photography and Graphic Art, and has an Excellence I level degree in Cello. In addition to her work at ACE, Tanya is currently studying to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
Albane Siramy
Albane Siramy, as Manager of Environmental Affairs, is responsible for major technical projects and EU policy and legislation analysis. She is also in charge of stakeholder liaison. In addition, Albane is responsible for the secretariat of the WWF/ACE partnership and coordinates internal projects on the environmental performance of the beverage carton industry.
Before joining ACE, Albane worked at the European Confederation of the Food and Drink Industry (CIAA), where she followed EU policy developments in environmental issues and interacted with the EU institutions.
Prior to this, Albane was a senior consultant at Euralia, a public affairs consultancy firm in Brussels, where she monitored regulatory developments and implemented lobbying strategies in the food and energy sectors.
Albane is a French national. She holds Masters degrees in European Studies and in History from the Institute of Political Studies (Sciences-po) in Paris, and a post-graduate certificate in Sustainable Business from the University of Cambridge.
